Dr. Sloane M Hunter Bio

Dr. Hunter has been offering NUCCA spinal care to the city of Calgary since 2003 after she graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. She became fully trained in the NUCCA spinal evaluation and corrective procedures before graduating Magna Cum Laude. She associated for eight years with her mentor/founding Alberta NUCCA Chiropractor, Dr. Gordon Hasick of Britannia Clinic and expanded her practice at Align Health & Wellness for nine additional years. In 2020, Dr. Hunter realized her dream of designing, building and opening our wellness-centered collaborative health clinic, Vibe Health & Spine. Earlier to her Chiropractic career, Dr. Hunter earned a Bachelor of Physical Education & Recreation (Kinesiology) at the University of Alberta in 1998 where her studies centered on Active Living, Health and Well-being for the older adult. Dr. Hunter maintains membership with the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association (NUCCA) and serves on the Ralph R Gregory Memorial Foundation (Canada) board, which supports the Research, Education, Endowment and Public Awareness of the NUCCA procedure in Canada. In addition to regularly attending post-graduate conferences and seminars to broaden her professional knowledge of NUCCA and other chiropractic subjects, she also remains involved in the challenging NUCCA board-certification program of which she hold Part2 Certification in a three-part process. She has additional training with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), which specifically trains doctors to treat with competence the specific needs of women in pregnancy, both pre and post natal, and pediatrics. She currently holds certification with the ICPA for the Webster Technique. Dr. Hunter and her hubby Dr. Mitch (yes, our Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine at VIBE!) keep a healthy balance with quality time at home or outdoors and with their 3 boys, Leighton, Calvin and Marshall. She looks forward to serving you in your pursuit for improved health and balance.
