As a student in the Human Kinetics Program at the University of British Columbia Shawn realized how complex and fascinating the human body was. His foundation in health sciences, physical education, and dance directed his career towards massage therapy.

As a graduate of the Utopia Academy of Massage Therapy and Hydrotherapy Shawn has had a diverse career path in both spas and integrated wellness centres. His approach to massage therapy is to help patients reach a state of relaxation, allowing their bodies to become less resistant to more clinical therapeutic techniques.

Outside of the realm of massage therapy Shawn continues his journey in learning the different styles of street dance such as locking, popping, and hip hop. One of his goals is to combine his knowledge of health and dance to educate other dancers and athletes in the importance of maintaining strength and flexibility, injury prevention, and how to decrease rehabilitation time.
