Rachelle Camsusa Bio
Rachelle’s interest in human anatomy was sparked at an early age when she was introduced to life-drawing in art school. Traveling globally exposed Rachelle to the tradition of massage as accessible community health care in cultures throughout the world. Inspired by her fascination with anatomy and her experience abroad, she left the travel industry to study massage therapy.
After graduating with honors from Utopia Academy’s 3000 hour Massage and Hydrotherapy program, Rachelle registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia. Whether it be restricted mobility, sore muscles, tension headaches, insomnia, chronic injuries or illness, Rachelle will work together with you to facilitate positive change. Multiple techniques such as myofascial release, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation are integrated into each session. Stretching, strengthening and complementary homecare exercises may also be employed to help reach both short and long term health goals.
Rachelle strongly believes decreasing the body’s reaction to stress and anxiety through massage is a powerful tool which promotes health and wellbeing, both physically and mentally.
