Dr. Serena Verma was born and raised in Vancouver and completed her medical degree at the University of Toronto after finishing a degree in Pharmacy from the University of British Columbia. Dr. Verma is passionate about teaching and is a Clinical Instructor at UBC where she teaches and supervises medical students and residents. She also acts as an examiner for the national Family Practice Residency exams and helps organize Continuing Medical Education conferences through UBC. She enjoys being involved in the medical community and is an active member of the Vancouver Divisions of Family Practice, an advisory member on medical guideline committees through the Doctors of BC, and a reviewer of several Family Practice publications. When not at work, Dr. Verma enjoys running, spending time with family and friends, and playing and dancing with her three children.
