Dr. Lee Liknaitzky Bio

Dr. Lee Liknaitzky values the doctor – patient relationship and practices evidence-based medicine. She believes in listening closely to patients to provide well-rounded information to inform their decision-making. The patient is always at the centre of Dr. Liknaitzky’s care plans.

Before emigrating to Vancouver in 2010, she completed her medical training and residency in Family Medicine at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. She has practiced in both rural and urban settings in South Africa, England and Canada. She earned a diploma in sexual and reproductive health from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London, England. Further studies include a Masters in Public Health, graduating with distinction from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Dr. Liknaitzky enjoys a full-service family practice and promotes the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle. She has extensive experience in clinical research with several publications in peer reviewed journals. She is also a clinical instructor and faculty member in Family Medicine at the University of British Columbia.

Outside of work, you can find Dr. Liknaitzky getting outside in nature and enjoying beautiful Vancouver by foot or by bike, with her husband and two teenage children.
